We pleaded with him to talk to the landlord and reduce it to ₦1m.
Two days later, he said the landlord agreed.
Last week, a man came into the compound with his wife and two children. He introduced himself as the landlord.
We thanked him for reducing the rent.
He looked confused.
“Reduce what? My rent is ₦600k. I’ve never increased it.”
Apparently, the agent had been remitting ₦600k to him.
He asked one of us to call the agent to come over.
We called him.
The moment he got off the bike, saw the landlord and his family, he ran.
His wife said they’re still looking for him...
