My husband and I separated six years ago. For the past six years, I have been the one taking care of the three children we have together.
He woke up one morning and told me to my face that he was no longer in love with me and that he had found another woman. This was the same woman I had always questioned him about, but he would l!£ and tell me that there was nothing going on between them.
He threw my things outside, and I packed my belongings and left with my three children.
My family tried to find out what I had done ŵŕon̈g because I kept asking him what I had done so that I could b£g for his forgiveness. But he simply told them that he no longer loved me and couldn't continue being with me.
I picked up my life and became a single mother. The following year, he got married to the woman and continued with his life as if the children and I never existed.
For the past six years, I have been the one taking care of our three children. Not a single naira has come from his side.
The last time I b£gg£d him to assist me financially, he told me to bring the children back to him. However, the children Å•£fùsed to go, so they stayed with me. To the glory of God, I have been able to take care of them with the support of my family.
Now, last week, one of my ex-husband's brothers called me and asked me to come back home to see my husband.
When I asked why I should come, I was told that he wasn't feeling well and had been taken somewhere else for treatment. They said his condition was spiritual and that he was currently in a herbal home.
His current wife reportedly said that she wouldn't take care of him, so they called me.
I told them that I wasn't coming because I no longer have a husband.
These same people calling me now haven't called me once in the past six years. None of his siblings has called to check on the children or even tried to make peace between us.
The only person who tried to make peace was my father-in-law, but my ex-husband Å•£fus£d.
Now that he is s!çk, everyone has suddenly remembered that I am his wife.
I told them I wouldn't go, but they are calling me wìçk£d and heartĺ£ss. Even the other wives are b£gg!n̈g me to come, including his father, but I have Å•£fùsed.
Please, should I go, or should I stand my ground?
