Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has taken legal action against popular blog Instablog9ja over alleged defamatory posts, and a court has now ordered the platform to reveal its identity.
According to court documents from the High Court of Ogun State, Iseri/Ojodu Abiodun Judicial Division, the case marked Suit No: HCO/297/2026 was heard on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, before Hon. Justice A. A. Babawale.
The case is between Adunni Adewale as Applicant and "Unknown Person trading under the name and style of @instablog9ja on Instagram" as Respondent.
During proceedings, counsel to the Respondent, Ayodeji Fasehun Esq., told the court he was not aware that his client had been served, adding that he only received the processes two days ago. He said he intends to file an application to reveal the name of the Respondent.
The court however ordered that the response of the Respondent should already indicate the name of that Respondent.
The matter has been adjourned to August 31, 2026 for mention.
