This is a weekly internet show happening live on Zhigammy Media, am here with one of the famous Cameroonian comedian, Actor and Writer NJI MUKWA, Popularly known as Godboy Mc.

May i know you?

I am NJI MUKWA Popularly known by my stage name Godboy Mc, an English comedian in Cameroon.

What was your growing up like and how did you venture into comedy?

For that I will say when I was a child I had so much love for film and acting. In short I will always like to be alone creating and narrating a film to myself and even acting it on my oh. That was my foundation for my passion for entertainment as a whole

So I also realized there was a gifting in me to cheaply make people laugh so i started giving STAND-UP comedy a try.

Many people prefer to stay within their comfort zone, was there any risk you took which eventually paid off?

Yeah. I did a free show when I just started. It was risk taking for me because of its expenses and also what if I just organized the show and disgraced myself. ..

What if people didn’t come? You know many things went through my mind

The show did really exposed me and gave me that comedian identity

What challenges did you face while climbing the ladder of success and how did you overcome them

Just few challenges I can say.

One particular challenge I had at the start was being nervous, I just was curious about my joke and afraid to disgrace my self

Also you know STAND-UP comedy in my country is not much recognized as in other place and also people will not want to give their stage to an artist they don't know his how far. So that made it tough for me to get stages to perform

How has the response from your colleagues especially ladies?

I don't know in person of any lady comedian in my country, but for my other colleges that have been there long before me, I was well welcomed. I shot on of my senior college gave me the privilege to perform at the Gordon's comedy clinic that took place in Buea without any auditioning and without ever witnessing my performance. This was a nice welcome for me

How accessible are funds for media production in Cameroon

It is not easy especially for us in the English part of the country, entertainment here as a whole is still premature.

That is why our vision is taking it out to the world. If our place can't pay us the rest of the world will.

Is there a connection between the artists/comedians in Cameroon and the ones in other places?

Yes. They are all entertainers

They relate with each other but rarely relate with artists since I have little business with them for now

People know you with different roles, how do you keep all these together so that they don’t affect your personal life?

Really my personal life gave me my place in the society, so carrier has not that much change my personal life.

For instant I discover I cheaply make people laugh when relating with them that was why I step into comedy, being stun now might make me live comedy.

So generally I still the same character and relating wise.

And this is too because many people I relate with hardly see me from the celeb side.

What is your advice to aspiring upcoming entertainers?

What I can advise is to put God first in all their life endeavors; he alone knows what you are called to do best. Without Him you can spend your whole life doing what you are not supposed to be doing.

Also when you have found the gift and passion (what you love doing even without getting paid) hold it tight, keep pressing with it until it shows u out to your world.

Any word to your fans outside there?

When you are convinced from within that you Are doing the right, the right way at the right time, don't be discouraged keep pressing

To my fans, I say much love; if you were not there I wouldn't be here. I still much in store for you as comedy and film Are concern. Just be brilliant. Love u all

Any short joke to your fans all over the world?

 Not really, all my jokes are very long and I can only stage them before they become funny. Lol.
